The new chairman of the European Shippers'Council (ESC) has warned that the current lack of carrier capacity could force shippers to move production closer to final market.

Jean Louis Cambon, who is also head of Michelin's ocean management committee and a member of the French Shippers'Council, warned that this would result in lower volumes for carriers.
